In 1996 Miles of Golf in Ypsilanti, Michigan decided to upgrade the heating system for their driving
range tee boxes. Doug Davis of Miles of Golf investigated the different options and styles of infra-red heaters available. During his investigation he contacted International
Radiant, the local representative for Re-Verber-Ray infra-red
heaters. After reviewing all his options, he determined that International Radiant
offered the best product and services.

The Remote Control Panel operates the two-stages of heat based on
|

|
|
Five Re-Verber-Ray Two-Stage Infra-Red Heaters were installed over the tee boxes. Each heater covered up to
two tee boxes. A custom-made remote control panel with a 30-minute timer controls the heaters. Separate temperature sensors control the two-stages of heat; high-fire and
low-fire. This allows for the proper amount of heat to be delivered to the golfer based on outdoor air temperature. This system was also installed in the two new sheds which
Miles of Golf built in 1998 and 2000.

Located in Dublin, Ohio, Sports Ohio is one of the biggest sports complexes in the Midwest. Pictured
to the right is their two-tier driving range structure with Re-Verber-Ray HL-2 Series Two-Stage Infra-Red Tube Heaters. Each U-tube heater is designed to heat two tee boxes. The design was based on mounting height, local weather conditions, and constraints of the structure. Sports Ohio reported that they had three times the golfers during the cooler weather after Re-Verber-Ray
HL-2 Series heaters were installed.
